Ustora is a marketplace for Canadian vendors selling goods sourced from around the world.
Who this is for
Ustora is built for Canadian vendors. You sell in Canada, in Canadian dollars, and ship within Canada only, to buyers who found you by browsing where your goods come from.
How onboarding works
Onboarding is two steps. You are not visible to customers until step 2 is done.
- Step 1Build your catalogueYou get access to the vendor panel to add products, origin details and your profile. You will not appear on the site, the globe, search or the sitemap yet.
- Step 2Go publicTo start selling, you need: a vendor story in English and French with a photo or logo; your Business Number and GST/HST registration status (or a statement that you are not registered), plus a QST number if you are in Quebec; and Stripe Connect set up to receive payouts.
Origin comes with a check
Every product's origin is declared and verified before it counts toward the site's country pages and search. The badge says only that we know the vendor and vouch for the origin, nothing more.
Commission and payouts
Ustora takes a 12% commission on the sale price of each product, in CAD. There is no commission on tax or shipping. Payouts run weekly through Stripe Connect.
How to apply
Applications and onboarding happen in the vendor panel, outside this site. As part of onboarding, you will also review and accept the vendor agreement, in English and French.
